Plum Aqua is a Division I member
of the Eastern Swim Association
Plum Aqua members ages 5 - 18 who can swim
one length of the pool unassisted are eligible to join the team.
The summer swim season should be a fun and learning experience
for all involved. The goal of the team is to promote team
spirit, respect, teamwork and good sportsmanship.
Coaches will work with the children to
improve individual times and technique and to help children
learn different aspects of basic competitive swimming.

Overall Dual Meet Record: 2-5
Rosedale Kickoff Classic: 1st Overall
Odd-Age Meet: 9 yr old Girls – Stephanie Sipple – 1st
13 yr old Boys – Gabe Larson – 1st
15 yr old Girls – Katie McCarthy – 3rd
15 yr old Boys – Josh Loebig – 2nd
Highland Relay – Placed 5th out of 10 teams
Mini Meet – Carson, Devon, Taylor, Jenne, Preston, Zoe, Bailey, Danny, Julie, Lila, Elizabeth, Danielle and Emme.
2009 Champs Finals – Tied for 5th out of 8 teams!!!

MEET OUR COACHES
KEVIN MAKSINCHUK: We
are happy to have Kevin returning for his sixth season
as head coach! Kevin is a graduate of Slippery Rock
University with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education/Coaching.
Kevin specialized in sprint events while a member
of the Slippery Rock Men's Swim Team. Kevin also swam
for four years at Plum High School and was a WPIAL
and State qualifier. Kevin swam for Plum Aqua for
13 years as well as for PAYS and Allegheny Valley
YMCA.
SHANNON
JOY:
Shannon returns for a second year as Assistant Coach
of Plum Aqua. She will be a Senior at Penn State University,
majoring in Biobehavioral Health and Neuroscience
and planning to pursue a career as a Physician’s Assistant.
Shannon swam competitively for 12 years as a member
of PAYS, Penn Hills Dolphins, Plum Aqua, Plum High
School, and Team Pittsburgh.
SARAH
WILSON: Sarah will
be completing her freshman year at Geneva College
where she is pursuing a degree in Writing with a minor
in Spanish. She is a member of Geneva’s Cross Country
and Track teams. Sarah has been a competitive swimmer
for 10 years, swimming for Plum Aqua, PAYS, ESPY,
Penn Hills Dolphins and Plum Senior High School. She
was a WPIAL qualifier.
