RULES and
REGULATIONS

The following Rules and Regulations are for the
protection and benefit of all club Members. They have been established to
assure safe and sanitary operation of the Pool. Adults are requested to
caution their children and Guests to observe all Rules and to obey
instructions from the Pool Manager and other employees.
A.
Pool hours
Normal hours beginning on Sunday, May 25 Noon to 9:00 and Monday, May 26
Noon to 7:00.
Tuesday, May 27 through Thursday, May 29: 4:00 PM to 7:00 .
Friday, May 30: 4:00 PM to 9:00 Saturday,
May 31: 12 Noon to 9:00 PM.
Sunday, June 1: Noon to 7:00 PM
Monday, June 2: 4:00PM to 7:00 and Tuesday,
June 3: 4:00 PM to 7:00 .
Wednesday, June 4: 4:00 PM to 9:00.
Thursday, June 5 through August 23: 12 Noon
to 9:00 pm.
Sunday, August 24: Noon to 7:00 pm
August 25 through August 29:4:00pm to 7:00 pm
Saturday, August 30 1: Noon to 7:00 pm
Sunday, August 31: Noon to 7:00pm. Labor Day:
Noon to 6:00 pm.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE HOURS ARE SUBJECT
TO WEATHER CONDITIONS. IF IT IS DEEMED THAT THE WEATHER WOULD PROVE A
HAZARD TO OUR MEMBERS AND GUESTS THE POOL WILL BE CLOSED.
B. Exceptions to the above Pool hours - The Pool
may be temporarily closed for maintenance operation(s), health conditions,
weather, or any reason deemed sufficient by the Pool Manager.
The Pool will also close early on the dates of Splash Parties, Adult
Parties and Swim Meets.
C. Membership Cards (Passes) are not transferable.
D. Rules for Health and Safety.
1.
Social conversation with any lifeguard on duty is prohibited.
2.
All bathers are required to shower before entering the Pool.
3.
Admission to the Pool will be refused to anyone with colds, coughs,
inflamed eyes or infections.
4.
Only swim goggles are permitted in the Pool. No swim masks or fins
are permitted.
5.
Expectorating and blowing of the nose in the Pool is prohibited.
6.
Running, pushing, wrestling, or causing undue disturbances in or
about the Pool area is prohibited. (This includes the pavilion area)
7.
No person is permitted on the Deck Area in street shoes.
8.
Hanging towels or other personal belongings over the fencing is
prohibited.
9.
Breakable containers (i.e. glass) or metal toys are not to be
brought into the Pool enclosure.
10.
No pets are allowed on Pool property.
11.
No air-inflated tubes, jackets, swimsuits, masks, balls, or
other paraphernalia are allowed in the Swimming Pool or Diving area.
Exceptions: Splash Parties and Special Events.
12.
No child under 13 years of age will be permitted in the Diving Tank
or Racing Lane area unless he/she has qualified for that area.
Qualifications: Swim one width of the Pool in the Racing Lane area without
stopping and perform a front dive from the Diving Board to the approval of
the lifeguard.
13.
Use of Wading (Baby) Pool is limited to children 6 years of age
and under who must be accompanied within the fenced-in area by a parent or
guardian at all times.
14.
Any child that is not potty trained MUST WEAR SWIMMIES IN THE
POOL. They can be purchased at the front gate.
15.
At all times children 8 years of age and under must be
accompanied by a person 16 years of age or older who will be responsible
for the child.
16.
After 5:00 P.M. all children under 13 years of age must be
accompanied by a person 16 years of age or older.
17.
Children under 16 years of age will be required to take a 15 minute
rest each hour at the direction of the Pool Manager.
18.
Food or Refreshments are not to be consumed on the Deck Area.
19.
Smoking is not permitted on the Deck, Baby Pool, or in the Pavilion
area.
20.
The Tank Area is reserved for Diving Board and slide; swimming or
diving from the edge or hanging from coping in the Tank Area is
prohibited.
21.
Clothing may not be left in the dressing rooms. Violators can claim
clothing from the Pool Manager.
22.
Only approved, acceptable swimwear is permitted to be worn in the
pool areas. Cutoffs, briefs, boxers, shorts and trousers are not
permitted.
23.
The deck area is to remain clear at all times. Chairs, personal
belongings, etc. are to placed on the grass areas ONLY.
24.
Heelys are not permitted on pool property, including the parking
lots.
E. Diving Board Regulations
1.
Only one person at a time is allowed on the Diving Board.
2.
The diver will not dive until the area under the board is clear of
all swimmers.
3.
Diving or jumping to the side, hanging from the boards by hands or
prolonged foot springing is prohibited.
4.
After diving, leave Pool by the nearest ladder.
F. Adult and Children’s Slide Board
Regulations
1.
Only one person on the Slide Board or ladder leading to board at
any one time.
2.
The slider will not slide until the area under the slide is clear
of all swimmers.
3.
No standing or backward sliding on the slide surface.
4.
After sliding, leave the Tank Area by the nearest ladder.
G. Admission to the Pool (this will be strictly
enforced.)
1.
Each Member shall present their Membership Card (Pass) to the
attendant at the gate upon arrival at the Pool and shall request their
Card from the Attendant when leaving.
2.
Lost Membership Cards (Passes) must be replaced for a nominal fee
(See attendant.).
3.
Any Member without a Membership Card (Pass) must sign in upon
arrival. Permission to enter without a Card will be denied after the
first offense per calendar month.
H. Guest Privileges.
1.
Members of the club will be permitted to bring Guests.
2.
The Plum Aqua Club Rules and Regulations will apply to Guests as
well as Members.
3.
There will be no limitation on the number of Guests during the swim
season.
4.
Each Guest or Guests must be accompanied by a Membership Cardholder
(Pass) and register at the admission desk.
5.
A Guest fee of $5.00 will be required for admission of each Guest 3
years of age and over.
6.
Each family will be entitled to 10 guest admissions at the
discounted rate of $3.50. This privilege is not transferable.
7.
An adult signature will be required to receive membership materials
at the start of the season.
8.
No refunds are given for Guest Passes or fees.
I. Babysitter Passes
1.
A babysitter pass will be available at the rate of $75.00 per
season.
2.
The family name and the babysitter’s name will appear on the pass.
Babysitter passes CANNOT be used at the same time as an adult pass. A
guest fee will be charged if the babysitter wishes to come to the CLUB at
the same time as an adult from that family. BABYSITTER PASSES ARE NOT
TRANSFERRABLE FROM ONE MEMBER FAMILY TO ANOTHER. VIOLATORS OF THIS POLICY
WILL LOSE THEIR BABYSITTER PASS PRIVELEGE AND THE BABYSITTER WILL NOT BE
REISSUED A PASS FOR THE NEXT SEASON. PLEASE REPORT ANY ABUSE OF THIS
POLICY TO THE POOL MAMAGER.
J. Parties
1.
All parties must be reserved through the pool manager. REQUESTS
(IN WRITING) MUST BE MADE AT LEAST TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE
PARTY. The party form is your official reservation form. No form/No party.
The filled out form must be in the book before the day of the party.
Please confirm your party 24 hours ahead of time.
2.
NO party requests will be taken over the phone—NO EXCEPTIONS.
3.
There will be a limit of 40 non-member party swimmers per day.
Upon reserving a party date, the Member will be required to give an
approximate number of swimmers who will attend. Management has the
right to deny a party reservation should the number of swimmers exceed the
maximum.
4.
The member will be responsible for explaining the CLUB rules to all
party guests. Severe rule violations of any guest will be the
responsibility of the member.
5.
A list of party guests will be submitted to the manager prior to
the start of the party. This will enable the gate attendant to know
exactly how many party guests are entering the CLUB.
6.
The charge for party swimmers will be $3.50 and must be paid
by the member. Party fees cannot be paid in advance. If a party is not
reserved and approved by the manager, the full guest fee of $5.00 will be
charged for each party swimmer. A fee of $2.00 will be charged for
non-swimming party guests. Please indicate on the party form which of
your guests will not be swimming.
7.
Parties cannot BEGIN before 12:30 p.m. The gate opens at noon.
No one will be admitted into the enclosure until the pool is officially
open.
8.
Parties MUST conclude one hour before any posted closing time.
9.
In fairness to other members and staff please confine your party
to four hours or less.
10.
NO water balloons on pool property. The broken pieces are a
choking hazard.
11.
Please make arrangements for cold items. The snack bar has very
limited space. There is no room to hold party items.
12.
All guests, whether they be attending a party or just
visiting for the day, will be required to leave the CLUB with the
member who signed them in. Guests are not permitted to transfer their
guest privileges to a different member in the same day.
K. Observers
An Observer Pass (without
swimming privileges) will be furnished to Members of the Pool without
charge. (If an observer
wishes to swim the guest fee will be charged.)
L. Enforcement
1.
The Pool Manager and/or lifeguard shall, at all times, have
complete and absolute authority to enforce the foregoing Rules. Further,
the Pool Manager may at times temporarily establish such regulations as
are deemed necessary for the safety, health and welfare of the Members and
their Guests or to preserve general order for the comfort of all Members.
2.
Any person violating the above Rules or refusing to abide by orders
and regulations established by the Pool Manager and CLUB, may at the
Manager’s discretion be removed from the premises, and the same will be
reported to the Chairperson of the Rules Committee for further
disciplinary action. Suspension of a Member’s privileges, other penalties,
or complete cancellation of a Membership may be imposed because of
violations.
3.
These Rules may be revised or additional Rules established at any
time.
4.
The penalty for violating CLUB Rules will be determined by the Pool
Manager and/or Chairman of the Rules Committee.
5.
All suggestions and complaints must be in writing, signed, and

M. Parking Guidelines
1.
There is NO PARKING in the middle of the main lot until both
sides of the main lot and the secondary lot are full. Then, ONE LANE
ONLY.
2.
NO PARKING along the rear of main lot parallel to front of main
gate.
3.
NO PARKING in clearly marked NO PARKING spaces.
4.
NO PARKING in front of the dumpster.
5.
NO PARKING in front of the gate. No exceptions.
6.
NO PARKING in front of the sewer pipe to the right of the
main lot.
7.
Parking up the hill on the grassy areas is HEAD-IN only.
8.
The only exception to the above guidelines is during home swim
meets.
